Junior School library
Welcome to the Junior School Library! Since opening our doors in 2001, this cozy space has been a hub for young readers. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our friends Ms. Corina Taylor from Liverpool Hope One World UK, Mrs. Christina Barnes from Chichester Supporters Group England and Mrs. Pamela Maykut from Viterbo College USA for their generous support in constructing the library.
Our library has welcomed countless students from grades 1 to 8, and we currently house around 8,000 books—5,000 in English and the rest in Tibetan. We also receive regular donations from the Department of Education, primarily in Tibetan, which are enjoyed by our eager readers.
All our books are carefully catalogued and categorized by author and genre, with a color-coding system in place to make them easily accessible. To ensure our collection remains in great condition, we’ve created a small "book hospital" where students can help with maintenance.
Over the past eight years, we’ve fully digitized our library, and we recently added a touchscreen for students to manage circulation tasks themselves. We’re proud to support our budding readers on their literary journeys!
