Scholarship – Higher Studies Program

Despite limited resources, Tibetan Homes Foundation (THF) remains committed to providing scholarships for higher education to its students. These scholarships, awarded based on academic merit, cover tuition fees, stationery, maintenance, clothing allowances, and pocket money. For students who do not qualify academically, THF offers financial incentives to encourage them toward skill and vocational education. The scholarship program is overseen by the THF Scholarship Policy Committee and adheres to established program guidelines.

Aptitude assessments conducted by the Resident School Career Counselor play a vital role in guiding students toward well-informed career paths. Each year, an average of 200 to 300 students benefit from our scholarship program. However, it has become increasingly challenging for the Tibetan Homes Foundation to sustain this initiative due to the complete phase-out of the sole donor for this program.

Additionally, our students actively apply for and receive scholarships through the USAID Program, facilitated by the Department of Education, Central Tibetan Administration, Dharamsala, further supporting their educational journeys.

Beyond supporting its own students, THF also provides financial assistance to deserving children from the broader community who attend other schools, covering education at both the school level and, in some cases, for higher studies. THF deeply appreciates its sponsors for their dedication to advancing education and encourages continued support for these crucial initiatives.
