The core objective of THF is to impart to the children modern education combined with Tibetan language, cultural values and traditions. THF has a senior secondary school at Mussoorie, a secondary school at Rajpur, a middle school at (Gohri Mafi)Rishikesh, three Montessori (Pre-primary)schools at each of these schools. The school is a affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) India. The entire school system is nomenclature as Hermann Gmeiner Tibetan Homes School.
Senior Secondary School, Mussoorie:
There are 1152 (1134 boarders and 18 day scholars) students on roll at the main school and three course streams of Science, Humanity and Commerce. We have 75 faculty personnel and 25 administrative staff personnel.
Residential facility for students:
Currently there are 31 Homes, 11 SOS Homes and 1 hostel catering to the residential needs of the children. Each Home is staffed with a couple foster parents while the SOS Homes are looked after by a home mother each.
Secondary school, Rajpur:
There are 438 (385 boarders & 53 day scholars) students on the school roll and 33 faculty personnel and 7 administrative staff personnel.
Residential faculty for students:
The school is equipped with hostels for senior boys and girl students while junior children are housed in 14 SOS homes. Each SOS Homes has a foster mother each while senior hostels are staffed with wardens and matrons.
Middle School at Gohri Mafi (Rishikesh) :
This branch school has 289 students on roll, who are boarders, live in 12 Homes equipped with a foster parent each.
The special classes are conducted for especially for mostly over-aged children arriving from Tibet and also for those hailing from the most remote border localities of Nepal, Ladakh, Lahaul Spiti through intensive coaching to enable them to catch up with the main stream grades.
