General Secretary's Message
Dear THF family,
In just a blink of an eye time flew and here we are at the end of the year. I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for making me feel at home in this new place from the very first day. Your love and affection towards me have given me immense energy to serve the THF family beyond my capability and has evoked a spirit of achieving the impossible. The world is moving at an exceptional pace and we as a community have to move along to evolve and develop like the rest of our beings. But we have to keep in mind the huge responsibility we have in bringing up and guiding our next generation. In this materialistic modern world, the purpose of education seems to be precisely based upon how much marks a child obtains in the exams and there is far little emphasis on the holistic development of the child. Education is not only about reading books, memorizing facts and figures, getting degrees, getting married and settling down in life but it is also about learning how to listen to the books, rely on your analysis rather than blindly following others and realizing the fact that there is learning in everything you do. We want our children not only to reach sky-high in their academics but also be able to flower and become good human beings. Therefore, we need to divert more of our energy into the holistic growth of our children and keep guiding them in order to bring out the best in them. Each and every person in the Tibetan Homes Foundation is a part of this big family and it becomes our moral duty as a member to support and uplift one another. As the academic year 2017 comes to an end, I hope that the year has been worthwhile and a meaningful one for all. Meanwhile, for the coming year I have my sincerest hope for everyone to continue striving to become the best version of yourself and giving your best in your respective field. We have many more projects lined up for the next year, and I am positive that with your dedication and determination we will be able to complete those also in time. I extend my sincere gratitude to Indian Government and General Indian public for their enduring support and assistance for the preservation and promotion of Tibetan Language and culture in the exile situation. My sincere gratitude and appreciation also goes to Individual sponsors, International Aid Organizations for their humanitarian supports, without which the above achievements can not be accomplished. Lastly, I whole-heartedly thank all my students and staff for your support and I do hope that this relationship continues to achieve greater heights together. Let us get together and make our school ‘THE DREAM SCHOOL’ we always knew it could be.
