General Secretary’s Message

Having been in uniform for most part of my life, I feel rejuvenated and recharged to be once again in a familiar disciplined environment where in this time my task is to nurture, guide, motivate, educate and groom the future seeds of our nation facing virtual cultural genocide back home. There cannot be better honour and a more satisfying job for me than being entrusted with this responsibility.

Notwithstanding the above, I also recognize the fact that no matter how much hard work I and my team may put in, it will still be impossible to come to any fruition without the help of donor organizations, friends and supportive individuals from all over the world. I and my team humbly assure all of them that no effort will be spared to ensure that every penny they donate bears the desired fruit in the form of making the children grounded, self reliant, responsible and productive members of the community and society at large.

Presently we are taking care of 2450 children and 200 oldies who have no one to turn to in the twilight of their life. I do not mince my words to say that their future and day to day well being are entirely dependent upon the kind help of the donors and sponsors whose generosity and compassion have made the sustenance possible and so will be in the foreseeable future.

The updated information in the webpage will reflect the status of Tibetan Homes Foundation in term of its achievements and further prospects with the help of our supporters and the overall vision under the blessings of His Holiness the Dalai Lama who has been the chairman of Tibetan Homes Foundation since its inception.

Before I conclude, I take this opportunity to once again thank all the donors for their kind continued help and “SOS Kinderdorf International” for being the backbone and long term financial support.
